As a cascade system with two industrial-grade hermitaclly sealed compressors, the refrigeration system is optimally designed with respect to energy comsumption and development of waste heat and noise. All Dometic ultra-low temperature freezers feature Vacuum Insulation Panels providing improved insulation characteristics at lower wall thickness thus maximising storage space.

Dometic low temperature freezers are equipped with an easy to read control panel at eye level. Audible and visual alarms warn users of high or low temperature, power failure, and if the door is left open. The built in alarm history feature stores up to 3 alarm events and battery back-up ensures function of the alarms and temperature display during power failure. Uniquely, additional sensors warn of compressor malfunction, fan problems, sensor failure, low battery voltage, defective battery, problems with defrosting and the refrigeration system. The password protected settings menu allows simple calibration and access to production parameters. Remote alarm terminals are fitted as standard allowing connection to most surveillance systems and auto dialers.
The separate interior doors (with foam insulation) allow for the targeted removal of preparations, thus protecting the remaining stored products against cold losses caused by opening the door. The combination of a heated high grade silicon seal along the entire door frame and the separate inner doors prevent ice formation. Interiors are constructed from stainless steel with rounded corners for easy cleaning.
A wide range of accessories are available including cryo-racks, boxes and CO2 back up.

Documentation of temperatures can be recorded via a circular chart recorder or via the DMN (Dometic Monitoring Network) software which is supplied free of charge. The software has many benefits over a traditional chart recorder. As well as temperature recording, a full activity log is available, including opening of the door, alarm events. The software can be configured to send e-mails or text messages during alarm conditions. Historical data can be found at the click of a button.
