Dometic blood bank refrigerators are fitted with audible and visual alarms to warn users of high or low temperature, power failure, and if the door is left open. The built in alarm history function stores up to 3 alarm events. Remote alarm terminals are fitted as standard allowing connection to most surveillance systems and auto dialers. Uniquely, additional sensors warn of compressor malfunction, fan problems, sensor failure, low battery voltage, defective battery, problems with defrosting and the refrigeration system.
Glass doors and an internal light which can be switched on via the control panel on the models BR250G – BR750G, allows a quick check and pre-selection of the refrigerators contents. All drawers feature transparent glass front panels in order to minimise rises in temperature during door openings.

Documentation of temperatures can be recorded via a circular chart recorder or via the DMN (Dometic Monitoring Network) software which is supplied free of charge. The software has many benefits over a traditional chart recorder. As well as temperature recording, a full activity log is available, including opening of the door, all alarm events etc. The software can be configured to send e-mails or text messages during alarm conditions. Historical data can be found at the click of a button.
Models BR250G – BR750G meet the requirements for free-standing installation in clean rooms of GMP clean room class A / ISO 5 (ISO EN 14664-1). Stainless steel interiors with rounded corners facilitate easy cleaning. 4 swivel castors with locking feet are supplied as standard.
